Our team has meticulously selected, unique and elegant wines that showcase varietals in their truest form. With 35 by-the-glass selections that emphasize small production, classic, terroir driven wines, there is sure to be something to satisfy every palate. Our by-the-glass program also includes older vintage, rare, and top-tier wines from around the globe. A half glass option allows you to more easily taste and experiment as well as pair wines with the distinguished cuisine. A constantly expanding and changing bottle list will offer a worldly variety of classic and hard-to-find wines at all price points. We invite you to join us for a unique wine experience.

BLIND TASTING TUESDAYS

Join us on Tuesday nights at Red Velvet for "Blind for a Blind" night. Bring a bottle in a brown bag to "test" the staff, and maybe other participants, and receive a 2 oz. pour of Red Velvet's "Blind" for the evening. Don't worry if you show up empty handed; for $3-$5 (depending on the wine) you can get a 2 oz. pour of the "Blind" for the evening and join in the fun. Good for beginners as well as any of you "Wine Nerds" out there. Cheers, and see you there!

Inspired by wine-centric locales of San Francisco, New York and Europe, owner Wendy Segal set out to create an intimate and elegant destination where advocates of wine and cuisine could intermingle and indulge. The result: Red Velvet Wine Bar. A cozy, twenty plus seat venue where burgundy-hued, liquid velvet drapes and gaudy, gold French mirrors marry seamlessly with the modern design and décor.

Accordingly, Segal has assembled a talented and passionate staff to bring her space and vision to life. Wine director and certified sommelier Katie Brookshire and sommelier Kyle Showen have personally developed a broad and diverse wine list intended to showcase their love and knowledge of wines from all over the world as well as highlight Red Velvet's sophisticated cuisine.

Drawing upon his past experience at renowned restaurants such as Alinea (Chicago) and Melisse (Los Angeles), Chef Luke Johnson is re-inventing "wine bar food." Sourcing produce from local organic farms, top quality purveyors, and a regular pilgrimage to the farmers market, Johnson concocts refined, technical dishes from a frequently changing, eight-item menu where the few ingredients on the plate may see several different preparations.

Our goal is to deliver excellent and personable service in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. We look forward to sharing our love of great wine and great food with you soon!
